The Kerala Public Service Commission (KPSC) has invited applications for the post of Civil Excise Officer (Trainee) under the Kerala Excise and Prohibition Department. Eligibility Criteria

• Age Limit:
  Candidates born between January 2, 1993, and January 1, 2005, (both dates inclusive) are eligible to apply. Age relaxation is applicable for OBC, SC/ST candidates as per the rules.
• Educational Qualification:
  Candidates must have passed the Plus Two Examination or its equivalent. Additionally, qualifications recognized by Executive Orders or standing orders of Government as equivalent to the prescribed qualification will also be considered.
• Physical Qualifications:
• Height: At least 165 cm for general candidates and 160 cm for SC/ST candidates.
• Chest Measurement: Minimum 81 cm round the chest with a 5 cm expansion for general candidates, and 76 cm with 5 cm expansion for SC/ST candidates.

Pay Scale and Other Benefits

• Salary: ₹27,900 – ₹63,700
• The post requires successful completion of basic training for a minimum of six months, after which trainees will be appointed as Civil Excise Officers.

Special Conditions

• Candidates who have already been appointed in the post of Civil Excise Officer in any district are prohibited from reapplying.
• Preference will be given to Ex-servicemen and NCC certificate holders with ‘A’, ‘B’, and ‘C’ categories, who will receive weightage marks.
