Patna: The East Central Railway (ECR) has announced the commencement of online applications for 1154 apprenticeship positions under the Apprentices Act, 1961. Aspiring candidates can apply through the Railway Recruitment Cell’s official website (www.rrcecr.gov.in) starting January 25, 2025, until February 14, 2025 (11:59 PM).
This recruitment drive spans multiple divisions, including Danapur, Dhanbad, Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhyaya, Sonpur, and Samastipur, covering a range of trades such as Fitter, Welder, Electrician, and Mechanic. The selection will be based on a merit list considering candidates’ 10th-grade and ITI scores, with equal weightage.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Age: 15–24 years (as of January 1, 2025), with age relaxation for reserved categories.
- Education: A minimum of 50% in 10th-grade and ITI certification in the relevant trade.
The application fee is ₹100, with exemptions for SC/ST, women, and PwBD candidates. Selected individuals will undergo medical examinations and document verification. No hostel accommodations will be provided during the training period.
