Educational Qualification
Ship Draftsman Trainee – Mechanical
Candidates should:
- Have passed SSLC.
- Hold a three-year Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from a State Board of Technical Education.
- Have secured a minimum of 60% marks.
- Have an aptitude for draftsmanship.
- Have proficiency in CAD.
Ship Draftsman Trainee – Electrical
Candidates should:
- Have passed SSLC.
- Hold a three-year Diploma in Electrical Engineering from a State Board of Technical Education.
- Have secured a minimum of 60% marks.
- Have an aptitude for draftsmanship.
- Have proficiency in CAD.
Age Limit
The upper age limit is 25 years as on 4 September 2026.
Candidates should have been born on or after 5 September 2001.

Training Period and Stipend
The selected candidates will undergo training for two years.
- First Year: ₹14,000 per month
- Second Year: ₹20,000 per month
Performance evaluation will be conducted at the end of the first year. Continuation into the second year is subject to successfully clearing the required evaluation.
Candidates may also be considered for contractual employment for up to five years, depending on vacancies and individual performance.
Additional payment may be applicable for eligible work performed beyond normal working hours.
