Senior Testing Manager – IT

Job: Full Time
Location: Dubai, UAE

Description:

 Functional Test Manager role is a critical role within the Testing organisation primarily responsible for quality deliverables by practicing and maintaining the testing standards in line with the Alshaya Testing vision and manifesto.

Job Responsibilities:

  • 12+ years of testing experience with minimum 3 years into test management role working in a multi-vendor programme or from the Retail product based organisation.
  • Must have experience in managing a team of both vendor as well as the parent organisation.
  • Working experience in a Testing-CoE model.
  • Strong working experience in defining the Test management (engineering and governance) process.
  • Good experience working on the Atlassian test management toolsets such as Zephyr, Xray,TM4J, QTM4J
  • Solid functional knowledge on the Oracle based Retail applications, JDA, IBM-OMS solutions.
  • Have a strong working experience in managing the System Integration test phase and exercising the test management process
  • Should be proficient in driving the testing efforts across the multiple projects.
  • Should have capability to understand the automation needs within the team and able to help facilitate it in alignment with the Test automation framework.
  • Good to have exposure into OMS.

Job Requirements:

  • Manage and Responsible for a portfolio of programs/projects to ensure successful delivery and taking Business on the journey.
  • Work with the various delivery partners and review their Test scope, Test Plans/Test Strategies in alignment with the programme/project delivery.
  • Manage the full E2E testing lifecycle of assigned projects in a multi-vendor and in distributed delivery alignment.
  • Review the business and system requirements, technical specifications and other test basis documents and help identify the gaps.
  • Must be able to draft an effective and pragmatic Test strategy for the releases by considering all the factors from the customer happiness perspective.
  • Must be able to understand the environment dependencies and manage the releases in a standard timeline as well as fast track process.
  • Work closely with the Test Leadership, Programme, Business users, Tech Architects, Enterprise solution teams to understand the overall impact of the changes and help reduce the issues contained and addressed in the same phase.
  • Governance of Quality assurance across full spectrum of the Alshaya SDLC lifecycle i.e., System test exit criteria, SIT, E2E, Regression, Business UAT, Performance Test, Pilot test in Pre-prod and Production stability.
  • Work closely with the operations team to understand the root cause of any of the production defects and coming up with the defect prevention techniques and have the appropriate tests baked into the test case repository.
  • Continuously plan to increase the efficiency of the testing process via means of test automation and process optimisation techniques.
  • Ensure that the standard test management process is exercised throughout the SDLC process and highlight any gaps or provide recommendations in the Test leadership forum
