Kochi, January 17, 2025 – The Spices Board, under the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India, has released a notification for the selection of an Official Language Trainee at its Head Office in Kochi. The position is open to candidates with a Master’s degree in Hindi or English, along with proficiency in translation and computer skills.
Key Details:
- Number of Trainees: 01 (with a panel to be prepared for future requirements)
- Stipend: Rs. 21,000 per month
- Training Location: Spices Board Head Office, Kochi
- Age Limit: Not exceeding 30 years as of the last date of application
- Tenure: One year (extendable for an additional year)
- Eligibility:
- Master’s degree in Hindi with English as a subject or medium, or Master’s degree in English with Hindi as a subject or medium.
- Diploma or certificate in translation (Hindi to English and vice versa) or two years of translation experience in government offices.
- Proficiency in computer operations with a Hindi typing speed of 25 words per minute.

Selection Method:
Shortlisted candidates will be called for a written test, and a rank list will be prepared based on performance. Selected trainees will be engaged purely for training purposes, with no linkage to regular appointments.
