Qualification
- Science Subjects:
- 12th standard with Mathematics, Physics, and English with 50% marks in aggregate and in English.
- OR Three-year Diploma in Engineering with 50% marks in aggregate and in English.
- OR Two-year Vocational Course with Physics and Mathematics with 50% marks in aggregate and in English.
- Other than Science Subjects:
- 12th standard in any stream with 50% marks in aggregate and in English.
- OR Two-year Vocational Course with 50% marks in aggregate and in English.
Physical Standards
- Height:
- Male: Minimum 152.5 cm
- Female: Minimum 152 cm (147 cm for candidates from North East or hilly regions of Uttarakhand, 150 cm for candidates from Lakshadweep)
- Weight: Proportionate to height and age
- Chest:
- Male: Minimum 77 cm with 5 cm expansion
- Female: Well-proportioned chest with a minimum 5 cm expansion
- Hearing: Normal hearing
- Dental: Healthy gums and a minimum of 14 dental points
Visual Standards
- Visual Acuity: 6/12 each eye, correctable to 6/6 each eye
- Refractive Error: Hypermetropia: +2.0D, Myopia: -1D including ±0.50D Astigmatism
